Broadbeach Robina Blue won by 80 runs.
Well what a match this was. Batting first, our boys were
dropping like hotcakes with 4 wickets falling in the first 4
overs. However, showing their team Spirit and discipline, the
boys dug in and proceeded to put on a competitive score and
after 15 overs had ground out 43 runs on a disgusting outfield
where ground shots were near impossible and we had to take to
the air to get some momentum. Right, their turn to bat, enter
Lyndon James, what a spell, Yep, you guessed it. HAT TRICK and
with assistance from Alexandar Miller and Alexander Lynch and
accurate bowling by the remainder of the team, proceeded to
restrict Helensvale to only 13 runs off their first 15 overs.
The second dig saw some sanity come into the match, with our
boys finishing with another good win.

What
a great way to finish the year. The dedication of the boys came
to the fore on Saturday morning when they had their biggest win
of the season and the most pleasing aspect was that all the team
contributed whether batting, bowling or fielding, and the view
from the umpires end when looking down the pitch was very
pleasing to the eye for me, when I counted no less than 25
Adults, Parents, Grandparents, Brothers and Sisters, all there
supporting their child, Fantastic, Thank you all very much for
your ongoing support.
To
The Game
Well it was a run fest, with
Alexander Lynch leading the way with a brilliant 37 which
included 8 fours, newcomer to the game and the team, Zac Marley
showed he will be a future asset to our Club with 24 well hit
runs, Sabardo Mayer 20, Patrick French 17, Luke Sharp 15 and
Dante Cunliffe 10.
In the Bowling, Sabardo Mayer
and Alexander Lynch Again featured with Sabardo taking 4 for 6
and Alex 3 for 4. Sabardo was also responsible for a brilliant
run out when he threw in for a direct hit from near the
boundary. The remainder of the wickets were shared between Craig
Brasher 2, Luke Sharp , Patrick French , Zac Marley and
Alexandar Miller. Dante Cunliffe behind the wicket is looking
better every week and again took 3 excellent catches.

Broadbeach Robina Blue won by

Spearheaded
by an outstanding performance with the ball and in the field, by
Patrick French, the Blues overcame an early batting collapse to
comprehensively defeat Palm Beach Currumbin 1. Patrick had an
outstanding match, batting out his allotted overs and then
striking hard with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 7 runs and
taking 2 superb catches. Alexander Lynch and Lyndon James were
also on song with the ball taking 2 wickets each and Rhys
Watson, Jayden Rogers, Craig Brasher and Zac Marley 1 each with
2 good run outs by Rhys Watson and Sabardo Mayer. Dante Cunliffe
behind the stumps was again very athletic taking2 excellent
catches. Batting was again a bit of an issue early in the game
but the boys fought back well with all of them contributing and
Good performances by Luke Sharp 15 and Alexander Lynch, after an
early disappointment by his standards Alex came out for his
second bat with only 4 balls remaining and thrashed 4, 6, 4, off
3 consecutive balls. Thanks again for another great effort
boys, 9 in a row, Way to Go.

The
lads made hard work of it this week but showed a lot of
character to come from behind after the first session to notch
up their 8 straight win.
Again some great striking by
Rhys Watson 19, a cameo from Dante Cunliffe 8 and 9 each to
Craig Brasher and Luke Sharp. Luke was also in the thick of it
with the ball, taking 3 for 4 with Alexander Lynch in good form
again taking 3 for 2 and Patrick French, Craig Brasher Alexandar
Millar taking 1 each. The boys were on fire in the field again
with Ravel Naidoo and Zac Marley being instrumental in 2
runouts and some excellent catches were taken by Dante Cunliffe
W/ Keep, Rhys Watson Square Leg, Jayden Rogers Mid On and
Alexandar Millar Covers.

Another good match for the Blues.
Both teams went into this game undefeated so it was always going
to be tough. However the boys played some excellant cricket to
come out on top. Batting for the Blues, Rhys Watson, in his first
game after breaking his arm just prior to the season start, went
in and blazed away for a quick 24 which included 4 fours. Dante
Cunliffe also batted well to amass 25 in his 2 digs while Luke
Sharp saw the ball well in his second bat to total 31.
Bowling for the Blues, Scott
Jolly was on song taking 2 for 1 and a good direct hit for a
runout, the rest of the wickets were equally shared by most of the
bowlers. Congratulations boys, another consistent effort.

Well what can I say,
another huge win for the Blue's, due mainly to consistent bowling in
the first session and some brilliant batting by the 2 Alexandars,
Alexander Lynch, made a cracking 24 n/o which included 4 fours, 2 of
which were textbook off drives which would have bought a smile to
the face of Steve Waugh. Alexandar Miller scored 27 n/o in his usual
solid standard with good placement around the field. Others to
figure prominently in the batting were Sabardo Mayer 23, Jayden
Rogers 11 and 10 each to Craig Brasher and William Roughan.
Bowling honours were shared
across the team with almost all bowlers taking wickets. catching
was again a highlight with 6 taken and a superb runout with the
combination of Lyndon James and William Roughan.

Blues. Good batting by Dante Cunliffe 14, Craig Brasher 14 and
Patrick French 10. Pat also figured prominently in the bowling
taking 3 for 4. Sabardo Mayer also bowled supberb with 3 wickets for
4 runs. Again their fielding was excellant. like last week, the boys
took almost all catches offered, taking 9 in all with Luke sharp
taking 3. Congratulations, another good effort boys, your commitment
to the matches is very pleasing.
